Guidebook: "To Touch Culture"

a cover of the publication "To Touch culture"The guidebook showcasing historical treasures from the Collegium Maius building entitled "To Touch Culture" has been prepared in two versions: for blind and partially sighted visitors. The blind-user publication includes attractive tactile graphics, which, along with exhibit descriptions prepared by an art historian, include the perception of visually disabled persons. The version for partially sighted users, in turn, is not only printed with considerably enlarged font but also includes large colour photographs of the described monuments.

The guidebook author is Róża Książek-Czerwińska, an art historian at the Jagiellonian University Museum. Other persons instrumental in its preparation are: Małgorzata Perdeus, Jadwiga Bobeł, Anna Tańcula, Prof. Krzysztof Stopka, and Dr Anna Jasińska. Photography by Grzegorz Zygier. Illustrations/tactile graphics by Lech Kolasiński, a student at Kraków's Academy of Fine Arts. Text editor: Marta Bylica.

The premiere of this unique guidebook took place in April 2012 during an open visiting session at Collegium Maius
