Applications for educational accommodations
Given the current timing of the academic year, students interested in applying for educational accommodations are kindly reminded of the applicable deadlines:
In accordance with Article 5(3) of the Ordinance No. 13 of the JU Rector: ‘The application shall be submitted with the JU DSS, not later than a month prior to the planned date of using the accommodation(s). In particularly justified cases, it shall be allowable to submit the application after the deadline, if, given the accommodation type, its implementation is possible despite the lapse of the deadline.’
Please note that the procedure for requesting accommodations has several stages and includes:
- preparation of the opinion of the education accessibility specialist to the student’s request (together with a set of specialist documentation)
- decision by the relevant dean for educational affairs
- preparation of the educational strategies for the lecturers (in the case of consent for accommodations) and their dispatch by the study secretariats
- arrangement by the students with the lecturers of the details related to the implementation of the accommodations.
